One Building. Two Beginnings
In Neyba, Dominican Republic, the first phase of our school building is complete. On August 31, 2026, it opens as a preschool — the first preschool classrooms this community has ever had.
The building isn't finished, and neither is the story. This campaign takes it one phase further — more preschool classrooms and classrooms to open the doors to the secondary school.
Help One Now partners with high-capacity local leaders, and the global church, to transform communities. Together, we support and sustain programs that empower families and effectively end the generational cycles of poverty, enabling them to thrive relationally, spiritually, and economically.
Full Circle-- Ten Years in the Dominican Republic
In La Vega, ten years of steady work turned into clean water, thriving family businesses, and kids with a real shot at their future. However, years before we ever set foot in La Vega, it was Neyba that first called us to the Dominican Republic. We came to support a children's home in the community, doing what we could with what we knew at the time.
Now that same work is heading back to the place that started it all — Neyba.
Building the School, One Class at a Time
In Neyba, Dominican Republic, access to quality education is hard to come by. For some, it is not an option at all. For those who do have the opportunity, it is often limited to the primary school years — grades one through six.
Together, we are changing this reality for children in Neyba.
Alongside our partners in the Dominican Republic, you're helping build a pathway to life-changing education – from preschool through secondary school.
Because of your support, the first two phases of this project were completed, with the inaugural class of 60 students beginning preschool on August 31st, 2026!
Now, you can help finish the school and open the doors to even more students and their families.Your gift toward this next phase will add two classrooms to increase preschool capacity, plus two more classrooms to launch the secondary school program. (This phase will also include more bathrooms, office spaces, a permanent roof for the building, landscaping, and funding for the classrooms' first year!)
Education is one of the most effective ways to break the cycle of extreme poverty. Every classroom added represents the chance for children in Neyba to continue growing.

Funding Goal: $250,000
This phase of the project will add a second floor to the school building, with four new classrooms — two to expand the preschool, and two to start the secondary school program until we can build on the land set aside for the secondary school.
